Anàlisi: Chained To The Rhythm (LLetra + vídeo)

Com ja us havia dit que tenia intenció de fer, a continuació us deixo la meva interpretació i anàlisi del nou videoclip de Katy Perry. Com és evident, aquesta interpretació és totalment subjectiva, i pot ser diferent de la vostra.

En les primeres escenes del videoclip, podem veure a Katy Perry vestida d'una manera que recorda les princeses de Disney mentres sen's va presentant la situació. La veiem molt feliç, fins que agafant una rosa es punxa el dit, cosa que jo considero que es pot interpretar amb que per molt que vulguis fer la realitat rosa sempre hi haurà coses que facin mal. Pot semblar una interpretació molt treta amb pinces, però després veurem com aicò encaixa totalment amb la lletra de la cançó.

Mentres sona la tornada, podem veure a Katy Perry pujada en una atracció, on la seva reacció i les expressions que fa són la mostra més clara, sota el meu punt de vista, és la evidència definitiva de que el videoclip de Chained To The Rhythm està ple d'ironies.

Després veiem infinitat fent cua (Si us fixeu en el detall, diu que hi ha més de 1900 hores de cua) per pujar a una roda d'hàmster, Seguint amb el tema de la cançó, això es pot interpretar com que d'alguna manera moltes vegades volem les coses pel simple fet que les tenen els altres o per l'opinió que en tenen altres persones, encara que potser en realitat no siguin tan bones com nosaltres creiem.

A la següent escena Katy Perry es troba a un cinema 3D, i aleshores ésquan apareix Skip Marley de la pantalla. Ella es treu les ulleres al adonar-se que és real, i aquí sembla que canvia. Aa partir d'aquí es van alternant diverses escenes: ella i desenes de persones movent-se en cerces com zombis  (Si fem referència a la lletra de la cançó), i Perry a la ja mencionada roda d'hàmster. A la primera escena ella es troba situada al centre de la gent i sembla totalment desconcertada, com si d'alguna manera s'adonés que la bombolla que exemplifica el parc d'atracció no és tan perfecta ni real com creia.

Anem ara a relacionar el contigut del videoclip amb la lletra de Chained To The Rhythm.

Ja des del principi de la cançó, es parla de la bombolla en la que segons Katy Perry pretenem viure i que al videoclip exemplifica el parc d'atraccions.

Durant la segona meitat de la primera estrofa es reitera la primera idea. La utopia de la que es parla, novament pot ser vista com el parc d'atraccions.

Aquí la lletra fa un canvi cap a la ironia que també és present al video, quan diu que ens posem les ulleres amb un filtre rosa per mirar la realitat.

A la tornada fa referència a que per molt que vulguem negar els problemes del món tots estem encadenats al mateix ritme, és a dir a la mateixa realitat.

a la segona estrofa Katy Perry ja es mostra totalment conscient del problema descrit en la cançói veu la realitat "lletja", cosa que pot exemplificar el moment en el què es punxa amb la rosa.
